My cast bronze sculptures are inspired by my interest in an assortment of neolithic and bronze age cultures and the images they produced. I find the regard these cultures had for nature, and their open attitudes towards the divine feminine refreshing and insightful.
An enduring interest in and practice of yoga has also shaped my views. Much of the aim of my work is to present a personal interpretation of a cosmology based on interconnectedness.
I have sought to use techniques in the casting process that are unique. Working at a bronze casting foundry has given me the opportunity to have a more free approach to these often very traditional technologies. As a result of my technical approach, all of the pieces are one of a kind.
